Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Nathan – a high school student with a passion for music. I have played and performed the classical guitar my entire life, and music is a central part of who I am. My interest in music started as a little kid when I watched Jason Mraz perform a parody of “I’m  Yours” on Sesame Street. While acoustic guitar was the original instrument that hooked me, I soon began to discover other aspects of music, choosing the classical guitar as my main instrument. Although the beginning of my “music career” stemmed from my training as a classical guitarist, I began to venture into the world of digital music production. I began researching how to compose and produce digital music for myself, utilizing DAWs like FL Studio as a starting point for my hobby.

As a musician, I understand how crucial it is to have access to professional instruction and guidance, and I recognize the hurdles that students face when trying to pursue their passions in music. I know how much of a positive impact music has made on my life, and I am passionate about spreading the opportunities I had to other students. Founding Project EQ was a way for me to help make music accessible, giving more young people tools and opportunities to grow. Project EQ works to offer invaluable knowledge to students at no cost.
